Salvimar’s brand-new wetsuit won me over at least four times: when I saw it, when I touched it, when I put it on, and when I tested

Specifically designed for freediving and with a thickness of 1.5 mm, it promises to amaze in many ways. Let’s look at them all!
Expertly packaged, the new Zeero EVO comes out of the box without a single crease. Minimalist in shape, design, and color!
The soft Yamamoto material is treated to prevent abrasions (it features the Fast Skin Coated finish applied to Smooth Skin material for excellent glide and hydrodynamics, combined with greater resistance to wear). Still, care is always appreciated, so as a nice touch, a pair of white cotton gloves is included in the package to avoid damaging the wetsuit with nails, rings, or anything else.
The wetsuit is externally glued to minimize drag, stitched internally, and reinforced with strong dots and tapes to ensure the best possible seal. In particular, the seams are made with a non-penetrating needle, and the central gluing uses a two-component adhesive to ensure maximum waterproof sealing (GBS – Glued and Blind Stitched).
The Zeero Thermo Evo is worn dry and glides over the skin like velvet. Credit goes to the Stretch Nylon - Smooth Skin lining combo: a Stretch Nylon fabric combined with Yamamoto 39.
Wearing it gives a particularly pleasant sensation. We're talking about top-quality material — Smooth Skin Yamamoto 39 with elastic memory — likely the most premium foam available for wetsuits. Also worth noting is how smoothly it feels on the skin — especially on the shoulders, armpits, biceps, and forearms — thanks to JY Aqua Stretch, the super-elastic lining that ensures minimal water absorption.
You immediately notice its excellent flexibility, which suggests great resistance to compression at depth. Its special softness allows it to adapt perfectly to body shape, ensuring a snug fit. After a long water session, I can also confirm its high thermal insulation.
By the end of use, you’ll notice the complete absence of odors inside and how quickly it dries. Attention to detail also extends to the YKK Superior #5 zipper, which is corrosion-resistant and avoids the annoying snags that sometimes complicate getting suited up.
Raw Edge finishes at the wrists and ankles ensure a tight seal without being weighed down by external reinforcements.
Glide and water flow become a delight to the senses, the water slides off, and the body feels no resistance. You “fly” through the water, giving your imagination the thrill that you might never stop!
The streamlined posture, arms extended like an arrow, finds no hindrance or resistance; the abdomen and chest are snugly wrapped, but without any constraint.
Even when undressing, the New Zeero Thermo Evo comes off easily, and within minutes, there’s no risk of soaking the inside of your bag.
A great product launched by Salvimar! A very positive review, absolutely worth trying (and buying)!
