That’s the feeling you get when wearing this single-lens model featuring lenses with an Antifog treatment. Designed for snorkeling, it also performed extremely well in shallow-water spearfishing, especially in murky water and less-than-optimal visibility conditions

The name Skyline is no coincidence: it immediately evokes the image of a free, boundless horizon. That’s the same impression you experience when wearing this frameless single-lens mask, designed for those who love exploring the sea with a wide, uninterrupted field of view.
Although highly appreciated by snorkeling enthusiasts for its visual openness and pleasant lightness, this model also surprises in more technical use. Especially in shallow water or turbid conditions, the single lens helps detect shapes and movements that other masks might miss. The frameless design provides an immediate perception of the surrounding environment, which is particularly useful when visibility becomes challenging.
Minimalism and Lightness
The Skyline stands out for its frameless design: the single-piece glass is integrated directly into the silicone skirt, reducing weight and bulk. The shaped lens extends vision upward and into the peripheral areas, offering a strong sense of openness—almost as if you were wearing nothing at all. The hypoallergenic silicone ensures a good seal even with a beard or mustache, while the micrometric buckles allow quick and precise adjustments.
Field of View and Versatility
While snorkeling, the Skyline guarantees a wide and natural perception of the seabed, ideal for observing life-rich habitats such as reefs, rocky bottoms, and small wrecks. But it is especially in spearfishing that its field of view becomes a significant added value: it allows you to monitor your equipment and surroundings without abrupt movements, improving fluidity and focus.
Lateral and downward vision helps detect movement and contrast even in difficult conditions, such as foamy bottoms or water heavy with suspended particles. Every shape becomes easier to identify: a shadow crossing the field of view, a glint on the seabed, a silhouette approaching.
Plasma Antifog: Clear Vision Without Spray
The lenses undergo a double plasma treatment that creates a hydrophilic micro-surface capable of counteracting condensation. Simply immerse the mask for 2–3 minutes before use: fogging disappears and vision remains stable throughout the entire session. No sprays or traditional methods are needed.
At Sea
We tested the Skyline in its natural habitat—shallow water, surge, and variable visibility—situations where quickly reading the seabed is crucial. In addition to shallow-water tests, we ventured a bit deeper, making several dives along drop-offs between 10 and 15 meters to assess equalization and behavior during descent.
During these deeper dives, the wide field of view revealed an additional advantage: it made it easier to spot quick movements or sudden bursts from fish trying to hide among crevices. The ability to catch lateral and vertical details makes seabed observation more immediate, without the need for constant small head movements.
The light, stable skirt helps reduce fatigue, improving concentration on technique and action management, even when surge increases the complexity of the environment.
As for internal volume, it’s clear that it can’t compete with ultra-low-volume micro masks, so equalization becomes less easy beyond a certain depth. However, up to 13–15 meters there are no issues. In return, in murky water the “panoramic” effect truly comes into its own, offering a tangible advantage over more compact models and confirming the Skyline’s vocation for environments with reduced visibility.
Conclusions
The C4 Skyline is an ideal mask for those who want a wide, natural field of view—perfect for snorkeling and highly effective for shallow-water spearfishing or low-visibility environments. The frameless design makes it light and well-fitting, while the plasma-treated lenses ensure stable, sharp vision.
And here a note is warranted: we used the Skyline for seven or eight outings, and the Antifog treatment performed brilliantly. Not even a hint of “fog” on the lenses—absolute clarity. Just immerse the mask in fresh water for 2–3 minutes before use and keep the lenses free from oils and creams. If this performance holds over time, then C4 has truly hit the mark by solving one of the most annoying problems for modern divers.
