THE FEBRUARY ISSUE IS ON THE NEWSSTANDS
The February issue of PescaSub & Apnea is now on newsstands, featuring a long article dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Cressi, the company that has written the history of this sport. His name is Francisco Loffredi and he is the captain of the Brazilian national team—but not only that. An eclectic figure, we interviewed him upon his return from the World Championship. And it is precisely the World Championship that our Giacomo De Mola discusses in a long conversation focused on what happened in Brazil, both in competition and during preparation, with several previously untold insights. The excellent Gherardo Zei, in his column “Visti da vicini” (“Seen Up Close”), tells us this month about a true Tuscan native: Stefano Mazzi of Acquasport in Grosseto, one of the most famous and highly regarded dive shops in Italy. “Between sand, grottoes, and open water” is the title of the article on one of the most famous—and still fish-rich—areas in Italy: Montalto di Castro, in Lazio. Current play, the search for clear water, and the prey to be targeted, including brown meagre. There are three more interviews you can read in this issue: with Elisa Corallo, a strong athlete on the national spearfishing team; with Emma Fabiani, “freediver and dietitian,” with a great all-round passion for the sea; and with Andrea Fazzolari, also a member of the Italian national team, just back from the World Championship, who talks about his work at his beach resort and his soft spot for amberjacks. This month Alberto Martignani, on his Atlantic tour, takes us along the coasts of Portugal, while Michele Rubbini returns to a topic now well known to everyone: the difficult relationship with rod fishermen! Finally, for the Fin & Tonic column, Simona Auteri tells us what narcosis means to her. Happy reading to everyone.
