THE APRIL ISSUE IS ON THE NEWSSTANDS
PescaSub & Apnea April issue is out now. And we start right away with a new feature. From this month, the Vice World Champion Luigi Puretti will have a regular column, every month, in which he shares his many experiences gained during years of competitions and sea adventures. He begins with a "behind the scenes" of a trip: anecdotes, curiosities, and tips. The section dedicated to columns is particularly rich. In addition to the News from the Blue, we find Biology Pills, curated by Mirko Bruni (this month's topic is the moray eel), On-board Instruments (on frequencies), History is Us (Arco Muto Sub Anzio), and Seen up Close (with the great Riccardo Molteni). His Majesty the Grotto, this is the title of the piece dedicated to this type of seabed in Lazio, an habitat where most prey finds shelter, while Alberto Martignani, in his journey, takes us around Gibraltar and, in the 3 places for a quick stop, to Cesenatico, Torre Melissa, in Calabria, and Cala Maestra, in Giannutri. Gherardo Zei analyzes the octopus, an animal that unfortunately has been subjected to heavy hunting pressure for years and by all means, resulting in a considerable reduction almost everywhere. Regarding freediving, Djimmy Carpanzano tells us what's happening in the world, and Camilla and Michele take us to Palma de Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands. Then there was Valentina Cafolla's record under the ice, daughter of an artist, who last February challenged herself in Lake Anterselva. Finally, the second episode dedicated to training and, specifically, preparation in the pool. We conclude with our reviews: this month it's the turn of the Nemesis RG aluminum gun by Sigalsub and the Fast HD fins by Dessault. Happy reading to all.
